The Nurse And The Football Coach Got Married In Vegas!
If I could, I would share a thousand images from R + C’s elopement.
But as I slowly work through their final gallery, these few felt like the right place to pause and reflect on our time together.
We spent five hours wandering Las Vegas unhurried and fully present. We didn’t have much of a schedule but more of a readiness to do what comes at us artistically. Clay was (and is) a college football coach & Rylie was a post-partum nurse and both exudedddd those vibes. Clay was literally always talking about football and tying everything back into football, so chill and nonchalant. And Rylie’s heart reminded me of one of those nurses that I really loved when I was in post-partum — just sweet, easy-going, and not a breaker of rules (but we broke many, this day HA)
Their laughs and voices are what I remember most.
Their elopement was super chill and not meant to be a big ordeal & that’s exactly how I like em!
Rylie + Clay mentioned having huge families on both sides that would have wanted to come and it would have just been so overwhelming for them so they took the opposite route and made their vacation into a wedding. GENIUSSSS.
That decision is what allowed the photographs to unfold the way they did.
There was no need to force moments or fake emotions, their connection was REAL.
They had so much fun. Even Clay continually saying how he was initially nervous for photos and now he’s so excited to see them. When the couple is genuinely happy, the photos will always turn out amazing.
These images are the best way I know how to summarize our time together.
They have the laughter, the fun, the spoteineity, the randomness… what it might not have is their huge hearts. But that’s okay - i’m proud to be one of the lucky few who have experienced them in person, at length.
To R + C—thank you for your generosity, your warmth, and your open hearts. It was a gift to spend the day with you and to witness such a fun day.
To Vegas—thank you for holding another story so well. ♥️
