The marble is still cool beneath your feet at Bellagio as morning light begins to spill across the fountains outside. The city is already waking up, but here everything feels suspended—quiet, intentional, almost as if Las Vegas is holding its breath with you.

This is the version of the city most people never slow down enough to see.

The casinos. The lights. The quick ceremonies.

And then there’s everything in between.

Empty hallways before the crowds arrive. A bouquet resting on the edge of a fountain while you pause just long enough to take it in. Stepping from the calm of Bellagio into the heat of the Strip, then finding yourself moments later inside Little White Chapel, where decades of stories seem to linger in the air. By night, neon signs flicker to life and the city softens into something unexpectedly cinematic.

This is the Las Vegas I love sharing with my couples.

One of the greatest things about getting married here is that your day doesn’t have to stay in one place. You’re not limited to a single venue or backdrop. Within a few hours, you can move from elegant architecture to a historic chapel, from the energy of Fremont Street to the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, building a gallery that feels layered and personal rather than repetitive.

That’s exactly what Etti and Dean set out to do.

Although they were already married, they returned to their wedding attire four years later to experience something entirely different. They weren’t recreating their wedding day in London—they were celebrating who they are now, without expectations or a schedule dictating the pace. Las Vegas gave them the freedom to build a day entirely around themselves.

We began at Bellagio, letting the morning unfold naturally. Instead of rushing from one photograph to the next, we treated it like time spent together. We wandered, talked, paused when the light shifted, and allowed the photographs to happen alongside the experience rather than interrupting it.

Locations

From there, we visited Little White Chapel. Whether you’re exchanging vows there or simply including it in your day, it’s one of those places that immediately anchors the story of your celebration. It carries decades of history while still feeling intimate for every couple who walks through its doors.

Later, Etti changed into a second dress before we made our way downtown.

Downtown Las Vegas has a completely different rhythm. Neon signs, vintage storefronts, passing strangers, music drifting through the streets—it invites movement. Instead of searching for perfect locations, we simply explored, and some of the strongest images came from the space between places rather than the places themselves.

As the sun disappeared, we finished at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. A simple, fitting ending to a day that had moved through so many sides of the city.

The Storytelling Approach

A second outfit naturally creates structure within the day, separating it into chapters. The gallery begins to feel less like a single portrait session and more like a story unfolding over time.

One of the things that made this experience especially meaningful was how it was documented.

Throughout the day, we moved between five mediums: digital photography, 35mm film, Super 8, vintage camcorder, and iPhone content. Each one held the day in a different way.

Digital became the timeless portraits they’ll frame. Film added softness and nostalgia. Super 8 captured movement in a way still images can’t. The camcorder brought a sense of home video familiarity, while iPhone content gave them something immediate to relive before the final gallery arrived.

No single medium tells the full story.

Together, they do.

Final Thoughts

This is the experience I hope every couple leaves with—not just a gallery, but a day that felt fully lived. Time to wander, change outfits, pause for a drink, laugh through the unexpected, and let the city become part of the story rather than just the backdrop.
