THE GIRL WHO DESERVES the HYPE
How did I meet Makall? One of my favorite clients, who has actually become a close friend of mine, named Masha, actually got her hair done by Makall! Upon meeting Masha, I was instantly stunned by how beautiful she was and typically brides choose to wear their hair down for the more glam Hollywood kind of look, but Makall landed Masha’s look perfectly by giving her this gorgeous bun updo and the best makeup I had ever seen.
Masha tortured me by making me wait to post her photos and the reason why it was torture was because they were the best photos I had ever taken at that time and I was so excited to get them out to the world but I was able to keep the secret and wait a few long and excruciating months to post the photos. By that time, Makall had also reposted the photos onto her page, and we literally clicked over our client. That’s when I knew I really liked Makall - because she cared about her clients exactly as much as I do.
After talking with Makall, she expressed how much she loved my photography style and I really loved the way she worked, her overall vibe and just the person that she was radiated so much. As a vendor, weddings can really become a rinse and repeat kind of situation but I could tell that Makall was really into what she did and surprisingly, she wanted to come to me for her rebrand!
After about 3 weeks of back and forth, Makall was very sweet in allowing me to really guide her in the direction that I wanted to go and she fully trusted that I knew what was best in the end which is the biggest photographer green flag if I had ever seen one. While we were chatting back and forth, I would just send her ideas, push new things onto her, hear her out on the makeup and hair aspect of things because she just knows her face the best, and in the end, we brought it all together and produced one of my favorite branding photos ever that literally is still getting me branding clients to this day.
The best thing about these photos, though, is the fact that Makall played in equal part in making them fantastic. She knew her face, went against the grain and put her hair up and it looked fantastic on her. She also is just this super funny person, her sister was there and I honestly couldn’t stop laughing at myself the way those two just were every bit of each other, and like I said in the beginning Makall just has a radiant personality to her that is irresistible. She reminded me of those girls who would talk to the little guys like me who didn’t have any friends. That’s probably why I was so drawn to her in the first place. Giving very big sister vibes and I love it.
As a makeup artist, obviously I must mention, Makall is SO good. Her work is flawless, she’s so good at branding and the professional and business side of things, and her kit is QUALITY. I’m praying big blessings go her way. Her hard work will definitely pay off and just that attitude and passion is enough to convince me she’s going to do great things in this life. Also, work ethic is everything and this girl is always working.
Thank you, again, to makall for seeing something in me that I didn’t even see myself. Being picked by a vendor who probably knows 1000 photographers here in the city makes me feel so great and wonderful. I really couldn’t ask for a better compliment. She’s definitely the girl who DESERVES the hype.
